Great News. The Group Policy team has published new packages to the Download Center.
OverviewThis download provides two sets of sample files, created in the ADM and ADMX formats.
These files can be loaded into the Group Policy Object Editor on a Windows Vista-based computer.They are fully functional; the policy settings displayed through the use of these sample files willconfigure registry settings under the registry keys "[HKLM|HKCU]\Software\Policies\Examples". The policy settings defined in these files will display in the Group Policy Object Editor under the following categories:
OverviewIn Windows Vista, Group Policy Object Editor and Group Policy Management Console can obtain registry-based policysettings from an XML-based administrative template ADMX file. An ADMX file is defined as a set of one language neutralfile (.admx) and associated ADMX language resource files (.adml).The syntax for the ADMX files is defined through the ADMX schema.
OverviewAdministrative Template files are used to populate user interface settings in the Group Policy Object Editor, enabling administrators to manage registry-based policy settings. This download provides the Group Policy Administrative Template files for Help for Windows (WinHlp32.exe).
