Security for the Board (not the bored)

We used to talk a lot about "center vs edge" when we described Groove. Now that we are part of the Office System, the center and edge explanation still rings true, even if we don't use those words exactly (hint: Groove = edge, SharePoint = center). Groove has such a great fit at the seams of an organization, as our friend Bruce would say, connecting people that don't share common network infrastructure. With two clicks, it provides a cross firewall communication channel that enables a team to share information that is encrypted, integrity protected, and authenticated across all endpoints -- how great is that?

Our friends at Elastictime point out that this is great for one type of team in particular -- a Board of Directors. Groove's ability to secure content even as it crosses the brick and mortar boundaries of an organization make it a perfect fit for protecting boardroom projects that include people from inside and outside the organization. Read more about Securing Board Communications at their site.

When you are done, you might want to review the Groove Security Whitepaper to learn more about the details of our data protection story.
