You mentioned that: "Public network to access the cluster and the virtual machines running on it." and what exactly the "Allow clients to connect through this network" option does.

Currently the "public" network in my cluster is the network I use to manage the cluster & Hyper-V hosts. This network happens to be the same subnet/network that my VMs are on. (My primary production network with all clients and servers) However, the Virtual Machines all connect through VSwitches setup through Hyper-V. Are the vswitches and the "public" network in the failover cluster connected somehow?

I guess i just don't understand the what exactly the checkbox "Allow clients to connect through this network" actual does. If i were to uncheck that box from my public network (Which would mean none of my networks allow clients to connect through them) what would happen? I assume that network connectivity to the VMs would still work since they are communicating through the VSwitches setup in Hyper-V. Correct? Or am i wrong? Would i loose the ability to manage my cluster?

Thanks for the blog post and video. These are the only two things i've been able to find on the net that come close the explaining Failover Cluster networking.
