See Understanding Exchange 2010 Multi Tenancy (technet.microsoft.com/.../ff923251.aspx).

Regarding Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server specifically, you can manage multiple instances of FPE 2010 from a single console, using Forefront Protection Server Management Console (technet.microsoft.com/.../gg507745.aspx), but it does not have built-in support for multi-tenancy. Administrators in FPSMC can see all managed servers within the console.
