server-date for everyone's nice to have something nice to update recommend
Can somebody please explain to me why on earth FSSMC will not install on W2K8 64-bit?
Exchange 2007 with Forefront is only supported for production on the 64-bit platform... this way I still need to maintain and support an "ancient" operating system just to run FSSMC :(
None of the Forefront Server version 10 wave of products has native 64-bit support. Forefront Server for Exchange is able to run in WOW64 mode so that it is compatible with the 64-bit version of Exchange 2007. 64-bit IIS does not support running 32-bit applications thus FSSMC’s requirement to run on a 32-bit operating system.
Native 64-bit support is now available with Forefront Protection for Exchange (version 11) with enterprise management provided by Forefront Protection Manager later this year.
