Lorsque l'on veut sauvegarder un Cluster Hyper-V R2 configuré en mode Cluster Shared Volume (CSV), le VSS writer va s'approprier le volume sur lequel se trouve la VM que voulez sauvegarder, cela aura pour conséquence de basculer toutes les autres VM en mode redirect IO. Ce qui signifie tout simplement que ces VMs vont souffir de quelques peformances pendant tout le temps de la sauvegarde, même si vous utilisez DPM, et je l'espère, qui focntionne en mode block une dégradation de performance peut être très génant vis à vis des utilisateurs, pour palier a ce problème vous pouvez utilisez des clichés matériels à condition que votre baie de disques le supporte bien sur! Pour cela il suffit de vérifier auprès de votre constructeur la disponibilité d'un HW VSS PROVIDER, voici une liste certifié pour Windows 2008 R2 ci-dessous. Cela va permettre à DPM de lancez un cliché matériel automatiquement pendant la sauvegarde et e récupérer uniquement les blocks qui ont été modifés, les autres VMs ne seront impactés que pendant le temps de la création du cliché en général environ quelques minutes.
