Firewall knocked out after a virus.

Microsoft Safety Scanner reomoved the virus.

None of the Fix It Links worked.

Tried SYSTEM RESTORE and the Firewall is working perfectly now.

I'm trying to install a new version of Symantec and in doing so I'm getting error codes about my BFE and Firewall being disabled. When I go to look for them they're not even there... Wondering how to re enable them or get them back.

My firewall settings are blocking access to IP Address for Internet access,

when I click on the "firewall Icon to open it, I get a single beep,

then an error is brought up which says "Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running."
