One of more of the following services may fail to start on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7:
• Windows Time (W32Time)• Windows Event Log (eventlog)• Windows Firewall (MpsSvc)
Additionally, when trying to start the service manually, you may receive the following error message:
Error 1079: The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process
i also faced this problem many times but i fixed it. i got a lot of information from this post <a href="ezinearticles.com 1079</a> , its
very helpful for me.
this sucks no help at all, I tried the micro fix it then restart PC and nothing, I can't start the app identity any help with that?????
Just go into the login properties of the service you are trying to start and select "This Account". Browse your computer and find the "Local Service" account. Wipe out the password so that it is blank and apply. You will be presented with a dialog stating the that the account has been granted the login as a service right. Then start your service. That should fix your problem.
