We just released another Fix it Knowledge Base (KB) article. This Fix it modifies the setup log level as described in KB 958909.
I ran this hotfix when the setupapi.app.log file reached 4.8GB. the DWORD was reset to Hex 20,as noted in the doityourself section. There was no differece in bootup time,and the file has now grown to 5GB. Apparently the new DWORD had no effect. Can anyone explain?
Inside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup change the value of LogLevel to Decimal 257
Espero que esta reparación funcione ya que
el proceso de carga e inicio del sistema era
a fecha de hoy muy lento. He decidido ejecutar
despues de ver que posiblemente fuese este el
fallo, ya que recuerdo que antes tenia un
antivirus en linea y el inicio era mucho mas
rapido y el sistema era el basic home.
