We just released another Fix it Knowledge Base (KB) article. This Fix it removes the "Restore My Active Desktop" button from the desktop as described in KB 929200.

    Have you tried the Fix it for this KB? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810869) This Fix it is specifically for getting the recycle bin back on the desktop.

    Thank you for your feedback.

    Are you able to right-click on your desktop and select Properties, then choose the Desktop tab, and pick a wallpaper from the dialog?

  • I was infected with Spyware Protect 2009 - I hijacked my Internet Explorer.  I was finely able to get to the malisous tool software downloaded and got rid of the Spyware Protect 2009 software.  Now I have access to Internet Explorer - with no add ons and can't seem to be able to get them back.  Everytime I try something my system tells me microsoft can not access.  So, am unable to get any Windows updates.  I do NOT have Vista -- but XP

    Any suggestions?

  • I turned off my computer because it froze up.  Now I have a message to Restore My Active Desktop.  When I click on that I get an error that there is an error running the script for this page.  I have tried restarting, shutting down, and restore.
