I have the same problem as the last poster with Windows Firewall; it gives me same error message that I can't turn it on.
I get messages from Windows Security telling me my firewall is turned off but I go to turn it on but it is already turned on. I tried to download fulltilt poker but I get a message telling me fulltilt is not applicable with Windows 32. I can't access the internet at all, I keep getting a message this page is unavilable. When I turn my PC off it just restarts itself. All this has started happening since Windows Updates occured and service pack 3 was downloaded. Could this be the problem?
I am having the same problem. I run WinXP and since upgrading to SP3 Live Onecare complains it cannot switch on the Windows Firewall. I have tried going directly to Win Firewall but all options are greyed out. I have tried from Onecare Quick Links and it shows Firewall as Off - so I select Firewall On - and it allows me to do that but then it fails to actually start the firewall.
How can this be fixed? Thanks.
Having much of the same. Running Xp pro have one care was pressing for and windows update. After that my firewall was off. Windows Firewall Fix it Live did nothing. The message I get is Firewall setting can't be changed. Please send me an emailof suggestion at hexed10@live.com. Thanks.
Running windows 7, had to restart computer after restart windows 7 won't turn on. Had same problem earlier this year and had to reinstall windows 7 don't want to go down hat road again, anyone got any ideas?
