Each week, we bring you new app recommendations from our colleagues. This week’s Thursday Staff App Pick comes from Mary Baker, Business & Marketing Administrator, Developer & Platform Evangelism, Microsoft.
I grew up playing the classic pen and paper Mad Libs. It’s crazy to think how different it must be for kids growing up these days, but it’s also comforting to know that they’re still playing the same games.
The Windows 8 Mad Libs app is a fun new twist on the classic game. You can incorporate your own photos or choose from a selection of pictures to illustrate your story. Kids can also share their funny Mad Libs stories with their Facebook friends. And if that’s not enough, there are now 30 more zany Mad Libs books, each with 21 stories, available for in-app purchase. Look out for more books coming all the time!
I found the design to be simple and user friendly – it’s definitely geared towards a young audience, but the whole family will get a laugh out of it! It’s also perfect for early readers and a great way to have a little fun while learning grammar essentials! Download the Mad Libs app from the Windows Store now.
