The new Walgreens app for Windows 8 makes it very convenient to refill prescriptions, upload photos from your device to make prints and keep track of your Balance Rewards points.
Go to the pharmacy tiles and you’ll find several handy ways to manage your prescription refills, by typing in the number or scanning the barcode on your bottle, or using your online account. You can also sign up for refill reminders that’ll come to you via text, email or phone (or all three).
And since you’re going your local Walgreens store anyway to pick up prescriptions, you could also pick up some photo prints, too. For those who still like to hold photos in their hands (and not just on their phones and tablets), upload up to 100 images at a time from your Windows photo album, SkyDrive, Instagram or Facebook — and use the Quick Prints service to get those within an hour or so.
You can also search for nearby stores quickly – and get a map and directions to get you there.
Install Walgreens from the Windows Store.
