You can see Bing at work across many of Microsoft’s devices and services. New search capabilities in Windows 8.1. Windows Phone features like Local Scout, the Translator app, and voice recognition. Xbox One’s gesture integration, the Bing Apps for Office 2013, Skype … the list goes on.
Now, developers outside of Microsoft can leverage more of the power of Bing as well. Today at Build, we announced a new third-party developer platform that opens up more of Bing’s APIs and controls, including the Entity API, Optical Character Recognition Control, Translator Control, Speech Control, Text-to-Speech API, and the Bing Maps SDKs. Developers will be able to find and use these services on a new Bing Developer Community site.
