The inability to read BKF files and the fact that trying to identify the BKF file type in VISTA via the "find associated program web service" returns an "unknown" is beyond me. If Windows XP backup files aren't even recognized by the web service and there is no way to currently access BKF file content in VISTA, there should be some mention of it somewhere on Microsoft.com besides a single sentence on a blog somewhere. Oh, btw, the link in VISTA's own backup just points to the generic Windows VISTA page which isn't of much use. I'm trying to restore a few files from a Windows XP BKF-file without having to install my XP hdd, backing up to an external one and installing my VISTA hdd. I doubt I'm alone with this issue, but then again it looks like the decisions made regarding the VISTA backup features dictate that I might be. Disappointing is all I can say, as backward compatibility has always been a plus.

how about adding why EFS support was droped? And why there is no warning why EFSed files are being skiped?
