Good fix! Been bugging me since an install a week ago. Didn't have the file versions to hand (WFServicesReg.exe) but copied them from a Vista 64 box v3.5.594.1152 which worked fine. Many thanks

Thanks Guys for this info, this appeared to half by work however the setup page appeared to not register the update.

I received some pretty good info that recommended rebootign the server with the network cable unplugged and the update page will fail then allow you to continue the install.

Once you have the server installed you can update any modules using windows update without any errors :)

Andreas,

The steps are safe and apply to all servers. You're not going to harm your install by doing them. As always, we highly recommend having a full backup "just in case".

Hi Bloggers,

we have almost the same problem described above. EBS installed, Security and Management Server have the problem to install the mentioned update.

The only difference is, that we do not have the described event in the application log. Now I am afraid to do the procedure.

Can you take my fear away?

Thank you for posting this info, pulling my hair out to see why these updates were failing only on the EBS machines.
