It's crazy that the Hyper-V Server doesn't come either preconfigured for remote Hyper-V Manager or with a simple on/off option to enable it.

It's also crazy that the Remote manager software for Vista SP1, doesn't configure the remote client on installation.

The process is so complicated that John Howard (Senior Program Manager, Hyper-V team, Windows Core Operating System Division) has FIVE blog postings, and you must follow muliple posts. Even with his help, many people cannot get this to work!

What were MS thinking! Hyper-V remote manager for the Hyper-V server should just work! Clearly Hyper-V server was rushed out the door.

Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 is Free | MS Tech News

PingBack from http://mstechnews.info/2008/11/microsoft-hyper-v-server-2008-is-free/
