over the weekend i rated a couple more laptop systems - one with an intel core 2 duo t9300 @ 2.50 ghz, 4 gb ram, 120 gb 7200 rpm hard drive and one with an intel core 2 duo t8300 @ 2.40 ghz, 2 gb ram, 250 gb 5400 rpm hard drive. the hard disk score was 5.2 and 5.1 respectively. still my solid state drive...

lately i've been playing around with various tweaks on my two main windows vista computers. one has 4 gb of ram and the other has 2 gb of ram. on both computers i ran without a pagefile for a while and the 2 gb system occasionally popped up the system running low on memory message - i disabled the aero...
