BUT, setting up an exchange server in my test network will be a bit more challenging..

Has this been improved in 2010?

The scenario of a Win2k8-x64 box running DPM 2k7 protecting a Win2k3-x86 box running Exchange 2003 is unnecessarily complex. The DPM feature-set is also very slim. Recovery in this scenario would often seem to require a second exchange server.

Most other exchange backup solutions can recover at the mailbox or message level; is this too much to ask for DPM server? With Exchange 2003, DPM feels like little more than a cheap gui wrapper around eseutil.exe and ntbackup.exe

Is the webcast available on-demand? I try to follow your link from this post but receive “Access Denied” message.

I'm greatly interested in DPM 2010 in general and backing up Hyper-V VMs located on CSVs in particular. Where can I find more info on this feature?

Thanks in advance,
