i was taking backup on Evaluation Version of DPM 2020. Today its evaluation version is expired. i am unable to open management console. i want to convert it to licensed copy.

Help me in this regard , how can i active the expired Version of DPM 2010 version.

and can i take the database backup ??/

I need help with DPM 2010.. I just had a fresh/new installation of DPM 2010 and I added 300GB Hard Disk.. But when i look in the Storage Pool it shows: "Whole disk has been used" But when i look it "Disk Management" it shows the whole volume free.. I have not created any "protection group"

Is there any fix??

I'm trying to find more info on backing up a dpm server to another dpm server (so as to do away with tape backups) and also how or if dpm will allow you to recover single mailboxes and messages and attachments? I've been told by sales/marketing that all this is there but i have yet to find anything online about how to do it and actual demo's showing this. I have a test enviroment that is currently running dpm 2010 with a seperate 2008 sql server and a 2008 file server and so far it works great. BUT, setting up an exchange server in my test network will be a bit more challenging..

I am looking for a way to archive replicas made by DPM with another backup system that does not support VSS, such as Bacula or Amanda.

I have tried DPM 2007 with dpmbackup -db -replicas, but I found it buggy and problematic.

Has this been improved in 2010?

Is DPM 2010 going to increase robustness, richness, and compatibility with Exchange 2003 on Win Server 2003?

The scenario of a Win2k8-x64 box running DPM 2k7 protecting a Win2k3-x86 box running Exchange 2003 is unnecessarily complex. The DPM feature-set is also very slim. Recovery in this scenario would often seem to require a second exchange server.

Most other exchange backup solutions can recover at the mailbox or message level; is this too much to ask for DPM server? With Exchange 2003, DPM feels like little more than a cheap gui wrapper around eseutil.exe and ntbackup.exe

Hi! Is the webcast available on-demand? I try to follow your link from this post but receive “Access Denied” message.

I'm greatly interested in DPM 2010 in general and backing up Hyper-V VMs located on CSVs in particular. Where can I find more info on this feature?
