I meant the SOLUTION is available in a private fix. They'll give you new versions of two files to replace: DPMRA.EXE and DsmFS.dll.

There's an issue with SP1 which can cause unresolvable inconsistencies, giving you an error #0x8007007b. I had this on two of my servers in the same protection group.

The problem is available in a private fix if you email Kapil dot Malhotra AT microsoft dot com ; VRMurthy AT microsoft dot com ; SDurge AT microsoft dot com. Hopefully this will be a public hotfix very quickly (with good QA).

Hi,

After installing SP1 (x86 version) on several customers, DPM started having VSS 207 errors. The solution was registering the vss_ps.dll

regsvr32 %windir%\System32\vss_ps.dll

MS provided me a Private HotFix which resolved my issues after installing the Service Pack 1.

Well,I've learned another lesson from dpm, dont install the service pack 1. I no longer can synchronize file data, which means i can not create recover points. MS released a bogus SP1. The issue is with the developers according to my technician. SQL DBs fine. Files fail. The qc on this update was terrible.
