One more question, will I be able to protect my NFS shares on a SAN?
Mike/JayareIL,
Understood importance of adding longterm backup to disk is an important feature request from customer perspective. DPM team will take a look at this issue.
Tripple chaining, or long term to disk would be a great asset to a good and solid product.
Will DPM 2012 overcome the 600 partition issue? were have 10+ DPM servers to backup a large number of very small SQL databases, when really disk space wise they should be able to fit onto one DPM server.
Not having the option to do long term protection to disk is a killer. Doesn't make sence to invest in a tape library for that when disk is so cheap.
We really need long term archive to removable disk.
Hi , any news on long term protection to disks, i really need it .
Still waiting for more positive news on long term backup on disk. We cannot even consider this software without this feature, which is a shame.
