We have a new System Center Data Protection Manager video that covers some common errors and misconfigurations involved with trying to encrypt data with certificates to tape by DPM. A brief walkthrough is provided on creating a self-signed certificate and applying it to the DPM server for use in the correct certificate store for our encryption. Also shown is a way to verify via SQL studio management that encryption to tape is properly set per protection group specified by querying specific SQL tables. Enjoy!
