Project 2010 will have considerable presence at Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) 2011. This year we have set two key objectives - to celebrate existing PPM partners during Partner of the Year celebration and traditional PPM Partner Recognition Breakfast. The second objective is to communicate the value of Microsoft Project 2010 to all partners during Sessions, 1:1 Meetings, at the Booth and Evening Reception.
Tuesday will be a very exciting day as it also holds both the PPM Breakout and Interactive Sessions. The Breakout session will focus on bringing aboard SharePoint partners who are looking to add PPM as a high value competency to grow their business and to partner with Project Partners. The Interactive session will target best practices in selling Project 2010. Top industry experts and new case studies will also join the mix. These sessions are not being recorded:
What an amazing response and a tough year for the judges! We received double the submissions that we received last year which was double from the year before. This is additional proof that the worldwide partner community is growing in size and depth - both business and technical experience –developing a wide range of solutions on the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Project 2010 stack.
The Winner and the two Finalists for 2011 were pre-announced here and more details can be found here. Another separate announcement will be sent during WPC with a post on the Main Project Blog. The winner is invited to a Luncheon of Monday, where they will dine with and take pictures with the Director of Project, Arpan Shah.
We will be located in the Business Productivity area within the Expo Hall. In addition to some of our training partners like MS Project Experts, the booth will also be staffed with Project Partners from around the globe. Nearby, in the BP Partner Theater – 5 Project partners will be making presentations throughout the week.
Gold PPM Partners and PPM award winners and finalists have the opportunity to present at the BP theater – the sessions are as follows:
Floating twenty-four floors above the Los Angeles skyline is the WP24 by Wolfgang Puck at The Ritz-Carlton. While observing the spectacular panoramic views of the city, you will enjoy a dynamic breakfast buffet in the main dining room. It will be spectacular – invitations were sent to the PPM partner attendees registered for Worldwide Partner Conference 2011. In case your partner has not received an invite, please read this and then mailto:proj2010@microsoft.com.
True, there are a number of networking events and parties throughout the week, but we helped sponsor this one. This is an opportunity for us to meet with other partners and promote partner solutions and services. When? Wednesday night.
Kevin Custer and Jan Kalis will be available to walk you through the MPN booth and answer any questions you have about the new PPM competencies, the current transition period, and what happens after the Project 2007 exams are retired in October 2011. You can request his time with the Connect tool after you are registered for WPC, for more information please mailto:proj2010@microsoft.com.
