With this it allows us to have as many instances as we would ever need. &amp;nbsp;The Enterprise offering of R2 only allows for 4 installed instances on any machine (VM or Physical).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Do you know if the Software Assurance upgrade path gives us upgrade to SQL 2008 r2 Data Center Edition (as this supports more than 4 Instances)? If not then we will not be able to upgrade.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If we are not able to upgrade will we still be supported for up to 2 versions of SQL, with the Releases NOT being counted as versions?&lt;/p&gt;
