Sometimes it is better not to know certain things. For instance, do you know how sanitary your favorite Tex Mex restaurant is? What about your favorite Sushi bar? Well, there is public information on food establishment inspections so the Data Explorer folks thought it was the perfect scenario to show off some data mining.
This might be a useful adventure before you pick a spot to take your Dad for Father’s Day. Then again, maybe not. You were warned. Grin. And by all means, don’t even think about looking at the data on the cafeterias on the Microsoft campus.
Head on over to Surfing Restaurant Inspections with Microsoft Data Explorer and GeoFlow at the Microsoft Business Intelligence blog and get all of the information on Data Explorer, Geoflow and the backend data used for this fun demonstration.
Happy Father’s Day early!
