1) Click Start – Right-Click Computer – Select Manage {Authorize the elevation if prompted}
2) Expand Storage – Select Disk Management – Right-Click Disk Management – Select Attach VHD
3) Browse to select the VHD – Click OK

When I did this it created the vhd however when I reboot the machine the drive in not there nor the files I put in it.
