Steps / Commands used in this video!!!  Enjoy!

1. On the desktop, double-click Deployment Tools Command Prompt.

2. The Administrator: Deployment Tools Command Prompt Type dism | more and then press ENTER.

3. Type dism /mount-wim /wimfile:c:\images\windows7\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:c:\images\offline and then press ENTER.

Note: The image mounting process can take about two minutes to complete.

4. When the operation completes, type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-packages and then press Enter.

5. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-features and then press ENTER.

6. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-featureinfo /featurename:TFTP and then press ENTER.

Note: TFTP is case-sensitive.

7. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /enable-feature /featurename:TFTP and then press ENTER.

Note: This can take about three minutes to complete.

8. When the command completes, type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-featureinfo /featurename:TFTP and then press ENTER.

9. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-drivers and then press ENTER.

10. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /add-driver /driver:c:\images\drivers\sample.inf and then press ENTER.

11. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-drivers then press ENTER.

12. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /remove-driver /driver:oem1.inf and then press ENTER.

13. Type dism /image:c:\images\offline /get-drivers then press ENTER.

14. Type dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:c:\images\offline /discard and then press ENTER.

  • This video on the use of DISM was very helpfull. Thank you.

    I would like to remove ALL printer and wia drivers from an install, not just OEM, or those that I have added; I mean all printer dirvers built into the W7 install.

    So far have not accomplished that.

    Is there a way?
