1) where has this guy been hiding - can he really not know that Hyper-V came out in June 2008?
2) This is someone on stage teaching people???? something fishy going on here.
Well after my blood pressure came down I realized.. Hey my time on stage is still coming up all I have to do is right the wrong. I also thought.. If this guy does not know and he is "on stage" and presumably a really smart guy, maybe others out there are not aware of the current status of Hyper-V. So….
I thought I would put together an update for all. (my sincere apologies if my "initial thoughts" were insulting to you).
Over the course of the next couple months I will blog much about Hyper-V so this is just a quick note to say... Hey it is out and it is ready for prime time.
Windows Server 2008 came out with a Beta version of Hyper-V. If you have not installed it yet, please download and install the update from Microsoft prior to installing the role. When you install the role, you will have to reboot because what actually happens is the OS gets lifted up and the hypervisor gets put down and then the OS gets put back down on top of it as the parent partition. This happens very quickly [seconds]) but it does require a reboot. Actually, many other things happen too but I will save that detail for another day. So if you did not know that Hyper-V was out… now you do.
There are many other things I will be sharing with you when time permits like

That was a great interview, technology is going to go far more up than we can imagine!
