Here’s a KB article we published today on ConfigMgr 2007. This one describes a hotfix/update we released that addresses an issue where a Task sequence fails with an "0x80004005" error code in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2:

Consider the following scenario:
In this scenario, the newer boot image is not installed and the whole task sequence fails. Additional, the following error code is logged in the Smsts.log file:
Failed to install WinPE. Code(0x80004005)
