hotfix Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) site server or a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) site server.
  • On the site server, you are granted the following class permissions for a deployment template:
    • Read
    • Create
    • Delegate
  • You open the Configuration Manager Console window by using your credentials.
  • You successfully create a new deployment template.
  • You make some changes to the deployment template and then click Apply or OK to apply the changes.
In this scenario, you cannot apply changes the deployment template. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Error: You do not have security rights to perform this operation
