KBArticle

We had three new Knowledge Base articles published for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 last week.

The first involves and issue where if the package in System Center has a larger image size than what is needed, it can cause System Center Configuration Manager 2007 to create more CD or DVD images than what is expected.  There’s a hotfix for this.

The second is about an issue where some programs are not executed when the "If an application fails, continue installing other applications in the list" option is enabled in System Center Configuration Manager 2007.  There’s a hotfix for this one too.

The third offers a workaround for an issue where attempting to process a full or delta hardware inventory (.MIF) file results in an error if a MIF file larger than approximately 50MB is received at the site server.

The links and titles are below:

========

KB971689 - The Task Sequence Media Wizard incorrectly calculates the required space and generates many CD or DVD images if the task sequence references multiple programs in the same package in System Center Configuration Manager 2007

KB970636 - Some programs are not executed when the "If an application fails, continue installing other applications in the list" option is enabled in System Center Configuration Manager 2007

KB973754 - Hardware Inventory data files larger than 50MB may fail to process on a ConfigMgr 2007 site server

Enjoy!
