Tech-Ed Day 2

Tech-Ed DAY 2:

What a day. Today was my kick-back day since I do not speak until Thursday(Shameless Plug). Most of the day was in drill down sessions, walking the floor and some one-on-one customer discussions about our tools. So quick notes from today:

- Highlight Sessions:  I liked all the sessions, but the highlight of the day was OFC207 (What’s new in SharePoint Office Server) and MSG218 (Exchange 2007 will revolutionize the IT pro Experience)

- Clarification: YES, there will be Exchange 2007 tools. (See Friday blog) I was asked this today after someone had heard from somewhere that we were not. We are building a set of tools for Exchange and Sharepoint 2007.

- Migration Partners on the Floor: There are several good partners on the floor. I spent 15 min on the floor today and was able to swing by and shake hands today with BinaryTree, Proposion, Quest, Avanade, and DevLogics all who have services/tools on Migration.

- Questions and Discussions: Feel free to look me (or Ed and Gary) while we are here. I was tracked down by several people today and had some good discussions. Feel free to e-mail me (erikash@microsoft.com) or post here.

- Where NOT to Eat: The Summer Shack by Sharaton. (Famous for it's Corn Dogs and Oyster bar...) Need I say more? On the other hand 'NoName' was OK, the chouder and service was not to good but most everything else was worth it.
