If you are in a corporate or enterprise environment, FEP is for you (as long as you have the prerequsite software). However, if you're just looking to protect your own personal computer, try MSE: www.microsoft.com/.../default.aspx.

Thanks!

Can we use the software as a virus guard for Single PC? Plz verify this.

Thanks for your comment! I'd like to suggest that you direct questions like this directly to the FEP forum (social.technet.microsoft.com/.../threads) - a forum better suited for discussions.. I've forwarded your comments on to the product team directly, too.

Thanks so much!

great to hear that. I just have 2 questions:

1.) Why are the policies still not additive. I think it would be really great to assign a standard policy for servers and to add my special server (sql, sccm, opsmgr,...) policies with a higher precidence on top of this standard policy so the configured values will merge.

2.) Why are the firewall andvanced features missing? The firewall policy settings are really basic, I can't really think of a reason to use them instead of GPOs.

Cheers

Sebastian
