Greetings blog readers!
I’m happy to announce that we will release a new antimalware engine update for FCS. Full information on the updates included with the release will be published in a KB article once the update is released. The KB article is Microsoft Knowledge Base article 979536 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979536).
Currently, we are slated to release the update (and the KB) on 13 April 2010 – if there is a change in this schedule, this blog post will be updated.
The items included in the update are summarized below:
This update also replaces some earlier fixes and updates – the full list is in the KB article.
The update is available via Microsoft Update and WSUS. The KB article also includes instructions for downloading it separately for distribution via some other method.
Friends -
The URL in the posting is not valid, or it isn't for me. I get "Sorry, but we couldn't find the page that you requested."
I'm getting an error trying to install the updated, so being able to read the kb article would be helpful.
Please post an updated link.
Thanks!
Ben

Hi Folks,
The referenced KB article (979536) is not quite live as yet - we made the decision to let folks know early that an update was pending.
The KB will be pushed live at some time today.
Hey Folks,
Update - the KB article is now live!
Hey..
thanks for the update.
Hi! I had some trouble aplying the update in a 2008 server x64 with Office Communications Server R2, it restarted some services unexpectedly, including OCS, due to a restart with its dependencies... and now I'm afraid to deploy to other production servers in office hours... any suggestions?
By the way, would it be possible in the future not to clean FCS history form when upgrading?
