Handy summaries of the most common procedures and commands used to administer Server Core installations
Server Core installations of Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 do not provide a graphical user interface. Instead, all configuration and management operations take place in the command prompt. The numerous and varied commands and procedures for common activites such as installing server roles, configuring the firewall, and assorted Active Directory domain actions can be difficult to remember. Although all of this and more is documented extensively in the Server Core Installation Option Getting Started Guide (available both at this Download Center and at the Windows Server Technical Library), administrators may not have Internet access to look up the commands. The full Getting Started Guide is quite large, and could be inconvenient to reference in printed form for just a few key commands. These Job Aids present the most common procedures and commands necessary to configure and manage Server Core installations in a one-page format that you can download, print, and fold to pocket size. The back has been left blank so you can add your own notes, procedures, or commands specific to your own deployments or operations. Currently there are two Job Aids, one for Windows Server 2008 and one for Windows Server 2008 R2. Both are continuously updated based on feedback from users.

Visio 2007 Pro WBS Modeler Visio 2007 WBS Modeler improves the project planning process by generating Project Plans from a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using a graphical representation of elements.
The Visio WBS Modeler (WBS Modeler in the following) is intended to improve the project planning process by giving the opportunity to generate Project Plans from a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using a graphical representation of elements. A WBS structure is a hierarchical representation of the elements and sub-elements in a project (Step by step instructions and screen shot images available in WBS Modeler User Guide.pdf). The WBS Modeler can either be used to visualize and edit an existing project plan or to create a new project plan in Microsoft Office Visio 2007 Professional and then export it to Microsoft Office Project (2003+) to carry out the next planning steps. The Application enables effective integration of Visio with Microsoft Office Project. It provides an approach to visually and graphically create, edit and modify project plans using Visio. The WBS Modeler offers the ability to manage project elements in a graphical view, as well as offering functionality to layout a WBS in Visio. The WBS can be exported back to Microsoft Office Project into a new project plan. It is also possible to update an existing plan. However this update process is limited to deleting, renaming or adding elements. Moving elements is not supported at the current stage. To organize the structure within a WBS Modeler the outline code from Microsoft Office Project is utilized.

Geneva Interop Information
Available Here for Download "Geneva" and Sun OpenSSO Interoperability between applications in heterogeneous technology environments is essential to successful collaboration between organizations today. Sun and Microsoft are taking interoperability to a new level by utilizing the SAML federation standard in both the Sun OpenSSO Enterprise federation solution and the forthcoming Microsoft “Geneva” Server federation solution. By standardizing on SAML for federation, Sun and Microsoft enable organizations to deliver collaborative services with ease. "Geneva" and Novell Access Manager Despite remarkable gains in IT capabilities and collaboration, organizations continue to struggle with administrative complexity, workforce productivity, and data security. Many organizations support a large number of users—including employees, customers, partners, and suppliers—who seek access to a wide variety of applications and services. This can be particularly challenging in mixed-technology and multiple-domain environments where users are spread across technical and business boundaries. Microsoft and Novell have come together to solve these challenges and boost cross-organizational collaboration. The two companies are building the interoperability bridges that enable customers to reduce complexity, enhance security, and decrease costs. This paper explains the need for standards-based identity federation, and the current and forthcoming solutions that improve the interoperability of mixed-technology directory environments.
