    Recently the Chicago office participated in a Microsoft-sponsored Family Online Game Night with the Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) of Chicago. More than 200 BGC members and their parents participated in the event, which helped to raise awareness about online safety, timed with Safer Internet Day.     Microsoft Chicago Participates in the Kohl’s Step up for Kids charity event

    Microsoft employees about to start the Kohl's Step up for Kids Challenge. Microsoft employees in the Chicago office participated in the Kohl's Step Up for Kids Challenge to raise funds for Children's Memorial Hospital . The team climbed to the top of the Aon Center in downtown Chicago (no small feat) and raised more than $1,000. The donation will be used to help the hospital, considered a top provider of pediatric specialty care, further their dedication to the health and well-being of all children.     Chicago non-profit receives grant from Microsoft Elevate America initiative

    Microsoft today announced that it is awarding more than $5 million in cash and up to $10 million in software over the next two years to 12 non-profits in the United States that offer technology training to local communities. One of these organizations is the Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago , which will be awarded $250,000 over two years in cash as well as the software to further its mission of providing technology skills, training and job placement services to those in need.
