If you happen to read GlobeTechnology.com or theGlobeandMail.com you may have noticed a short piece yesterday entitled “Microsoft offers Vista test drive”.
The TechNet (that I’m part of) and MSDN teams are hosting an event on June 24th to allow you and your IT professionals and Developers to come and spend a day learning about Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Virtual Server 2005 R2 to name a few of the products.
The day is geared towards giving you and your staff a chance to unwind (yes it is on a Saturday), sociallize, network, and just plain Geek-out. The day will feature product overviews, live demos, hands-on labs, and networking zones to connect you.
Plan on bringing your PC as we will be giving out lots of Beta software as well as providing internet connectivity for you to blog, check email, upload photos, or post podcasts.
For those of you not in Toronto, we will be providing a live video stream of the entire day so you can participate virtually. If you happen to live in Calgary or Vancouver, there are satellite events planned in those cities, and I have heard rumours that some of the user groups in other cities are planning to get together around this event as well.
If you want more information, or to register for either the live events or the stream, head over to http://www.energizeit.ca
See you on June 24th, and don’t forget to bring your PC!

Looks like a rare opportunity to get up to speed on the latest and greatest! Also, a fine time to start your roadmap planning process for adoption and training--the best way to start is to get exposure now. Cheers, Stephen Ibaraki
