Last Wednesday evening saw John Bristowe from the Microsoft Calgary office present Visual Studio Team System to an appreciative audience of 100 .netBC and VANTUG members. John has a very lively style of presentation and it proved difficult to slow him down even when we had to vacate the meeting room. Rob Chartier MVP was in the audience and John, Rob, Medhat Elmasry (President, .netBC) and I had the obligatory trip to the bar after the meeting, where many topics were discussed, including how great Code Camp Vancouver 2007 is going to be. We will be aiming for more parallel sessions, possibly including an IT Pro track, in which case we will have to come up with a different Camp name! We also discussed other possible opportunities for joint .netBC/VANTUG meetings. I commented previously in my blogs on running UG’s about the importance of collaboration between the groups. It was good to see such a positive and optimistic atmosphere around the table.

Cheers
