these figures are inaccurate, desperately listed, deceitful, another scare tactics from microsoft, always discrediting the competitors.

GAPE - $50/user/yr

Postini Message Discovery - $25/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Archiving/Compliance - $45/user/yr (Microsoft - $37.68/user/yr)

Identity Management - $5/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Single Sign On - $36/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Calendar Sync with PDA/Outlook - $30/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Smart Card Authentication - $5/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Google Apps is consumer class and more like $191/user/yr to even come close to matching Microsoft's Online Services. Get your information right and stop deceiving/confusing the public.

...so much of that is wrong/inaccurate I don't even know where to start.

1. There is no way Gmail can match Exchange in enterprise features

2. Calendaring in Exchange also cannot be compared to that on GMail

3. Neither can SharePoint be compared to Google Sites

4. Really! Microsoft Office compared to Google Docs? How about Office Web Apps vs Google Docs? You must be insane to compare these.

5. Office Communicator Online is certainly more feature-rich than mere video chat on Gmail.

6. LiveMeeting is a complete audio/video web conferencing solution with document/handout sharing, etc. What is Google Video? You must be insane to compare these.

7. Default mailbox sizes really is not a point to mention because it is always best practice to start the user off with a fraction of the total possible size so the admin can increase it as necessary. In any case, both services have the same maximum mailbox size.

8. Annual cost is plain wrong because Microsoft Online Services - BPOS comes with Forefront Anti-Spam and Forefront Anti-Virus for all data and messaging but you have to pay extra for this on Google Apps. You also have to pay for single-sign on with Google Apps, something that comes free with MS Online Services.

9. Google has a lot of third-party requirements because they simply do not have it all under their roof. Some of which you have to pay for in oder to match Microsoft Online Services-BPOS are listed below:

GAPE - $50/user/yr

Postini Message Discovery - $25/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Archiving/Compliance - $45/user/yr (Microsoft - $37.68/user/yr)

Identity Management - $5/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Single Sign On - $36/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Calendar Sync with PDA/Outlook - $30/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Calendar Sync with iCal - $25/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Smart Card Authentication - $5/user/yr (Microsoft - Free)

Google Apps is consumer class and more like $191/user/yr to even come close to matching Microsoft's Online Services. Get your information right and stop deceiving/confusing the public.

Been playing with this today and trying to become an "Accreddited" partner to sell this.

So far with my playing today it seems to be a very well put together product ;-)

I did however run into 1 snag and I can't get an answer from googling (sorry, binging....)

Does the single sign-on tool work on XP? - I tried today and it failed to work and bombed out before installing ;-(
