Matthew, it's okay if you're Microsoft ID (email) is different from the one you received the newsletter at. As long as you use the same Microsoft ID (email) to sign up for the offer and download the trial, you'll be good. Haha, glad to hear you'll make good use of the card during the upgrade:)

Downloading now, but curious, the TechNet email I get is to a different address that is not associated with a Live ID. Does that matter? Do you just simply need to be one of the first 1,100 Canadians to get the Tim's card? Got a server on the "cusp" spec-wise, so I'm anticipating using the whole card in the upgrade process. :)

Hi Peter,

Just make sure that the info you put into the form is your Canadian information and that your Microsoft ID is also Canadian. To be safe, can you send me your Microsoft ID (just the email address, not password) that you used to download the Windows Server 2012 evaluation? I can check the reporting to make sure.
