I am the first to admit that Vista did not perform to expectations when first released.  I know a lot was driver related and there has been a noticeable difference experienced in the last year and I know a lot of people who are actually using Vista who will agree with that.  Still there can be the occasional nag that, while they appear in every OS, are still annoying.  There is help though…..

On Wednesday, September 24th, Mark Russinovich will host a virtual roundtable for IT pros on the topic of Windows Vista performance. Mark will be joined by Microsoft MVPs and real customer IT pros, and together they will discuss “top of mind” performance issues as well as common “misconfigurations” and tips on how to fix them. From boot times and applets to disk performance and battery life, you can learn how to optimize Windows Vista and what you can do to improve overall system performance.

You’ll be able to tune into the webcast on Wednesday, September 24th at 9:00am Pacific Time by visiting https://ms.istreamplanet.com/springboard/
