Follow me and learn Windows Server 2012 - New AD Users Interfaces

Bruce here again, day 13 on my journey!  It was really hard to sit down tonight and study.  But, I powered through and started.  Tonight I’m looking at some new user interfaces for Active Directory - “Recycling bin”, “Fine Grain Password” and “Windows PowerShell History”.

It has been a long time coming, but now we finally have interfaces for these features.   The new interfaces can be found in Active Directory Administrative Center (found by opening server manager and selecting tools).  The Recycle Bin and Fine Grain Password UIs require Domain Functional level Windows 2008 or higher.  You can also use PowerShell to manage these features.  The introduction link below has a great walk through of the features.  The advance link has the good deeper dive into the features.

The PowerShell History is really cool.  Exchange has had this for a while, finally AD has it.  This will make it easy to get sample coded for creating scripts.
