During Microsoft’s Northeast District sales meeting last week, our employees participated in an event to benefit students in need by partnering with CVS and Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons is an innovative, nonprofit organization that provides disadvantaged children with free school supplies.
At the event, Microsoft employees and their families worked to fill 200 backpacks with back-to-school essentials for children ages 5-12. Personalized notes from Microsoft employees were also tucked into each backpack before they were sent out to the students.
Microsoft graciously donated the backpacks and school supplies, and CVS supported the event by donating classroom staples such as crayons, glue, pencils and notebooks.
CVS partnered with us to make our Cradles to Crayons event a success.

Our Microsoft employees and their families are making a difference in young poeple's lives. Much appreciated.
We had a great time and it was a lot of fun to engage our employees and their families in an activity that will have an impact on other young people. Thanks to Jen Carbone, Anissa Battaglino and their team for coordinating this event!
This was great. My wife, our children and myself had a great time helping others. This is such an important life lesson for our young girls - giving back to the community. Thanks to both Microsoft and CVS for setting this up.
CVS Caremark is proud to partner with Microsoft in support of Cradles to Crayons. We know these much-needed school supplies will help hundreds of children this school year.
It was great to see so many people and families participating and having fun for a good cause. Thank you to Microsoft and CVS for supporting a great event that will have a positive impact in so many children's lives.
