Early this morning at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain we announced the availability of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.  This long anticipated milestone in the Windows 8 development cycle will now allow the average consumer, or more importantly for my IT Pro readers, to download and install Windows 8 on their computers.  Information on this release is best summed up at Stephen Sinofsky’s blog which you can find here.  Additional information on the System Recommendations for running the Windows 8 Consumer preview can be found here.  The all-up website for everything Windows 8 can be found here.  For those of you just looking for the download link, well, here it is http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/download.
