Face it. You love coding. Or, you hate coding.

For those who really do love it, and for those who find that some of their best ideas happen when they are doing other things, wouldn't it be amazing if you could switch on a device, at will, and immediately code to the cloud? Problems solved. You experience that great rush that comes with hacking together a great, polished solution.

Imagine, you know you have to hammer it out and get it done. But you just got into your brother's car and you are on your way to dinner. Then it hits you! Better make an Evernote of it, or write it on a napkin. No, that's the old way.

Ivan Burazin, a Croatian developer who is Managing Director of Ademptio, has built what we consider to be one of the coolest cloud-focused mobile apps.  It's called codeanywhere, and it lets you, well, code anywhere (be sure to click on that link to the Windows Phone store, for the app). The system runs on multiple Linux servers, each with a specific role, and each of them running Azure. "Azure enables us to quickly and easily setup our solution and really the thing that we like the most is how easily it enables us to scale.," says Ivan.

Where do you include technical members of your team during the building of your business plan?

Technical members are included in all processes of planning or business, this has heavily due to the fact that our users themselves are technical users.

How much of what you are building is based on leaving a legacy and how much of it is based on technical challenges, or the ability to make something just for fun? In other words, where do you fall on the seriousness scale? For fun, for profit, for life?

We really do plan on leaving a legacy in the development world and to be able to do so we have in our in our belief created the best product for this in the world, and of course to do this you need to be able to scale quickly and with no hassle.

Ivan Burazin, Direktor/Managing Director

When did you decide that you were “startup material”?

It was about two years ago when we were looking for a cloud based development tool for our team and found nothing of use, so we switch are focus to making this application for developers.

What impact or legacy do you hope to make in the market and in the business world?

All applications are now moving to the Cloud and with Codeanywhere we plan to be the de-facto standard for web development in the Cloud.

Obligatory questions that assist us in marketing

Can you describe the relationship that you have had with Microsoft in building your startup?

Microsoft has been very supportive to us and our needs, which is especially comforting since our application and client base is not that of the Microsoft segment of developers.

Why would an entrepreneur turn to Microsoft for help in building scale, a team, or using software?

Microsoft has the brand power and logistical means to help any up and coming startup and in our opinion this is soothing no serious startup should miss out on.

Ivan is a member of Microsoft BizSpark, where he was able to download free software for developing his app. You can do the same thing, join us at Microsoft BizSpark, and join a community of over 54,000 startups.

Tell us about your Azure based solution.

The full support of Linux servers and the security it offered us.

What advice do you have for companies that are thinking about building in the cloud?

This is definitely the way to go, do ordinary hosting service can compete with a full blown Cloud service such as Azure.

  • The article says "click on that link for the Windows Phone store." Actually, the link is for the Windows Store, and I cannot find this app on Windows Phone 7 or Windows Phone 8. Please correct the article or let us know how to get the app for phones (if available).

  • The link should go to that location, as it did when we tested it. Will look into the problem and fix it. Thank you.
