Tell us who you are and your role in the company:

I am Motti Nisani, Co-founder and CEO of VisualBee.com.

What did you do before creating your company?

VP Business Development NICE Systems LTD.

How do you feel being the most promising ‘Startup of the Day’ per Microsoft BizSpark?

I am very excited to bring the revolutionary software which is the VisualBee PowerPoint add in to the attention of BizSpark readers and hope to banish “Death by PowerPoint” forever.

What is your company’s mission?

Providing the broadest range of presenters with tools which automatically design brilliant professional presentations that carry a powerful impact. Tens of millions of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations are shown every day and VisualBee is here to help deliver a better professional creative experience.

In 140 characters or less, tell us what your company does:

VisualBee offers automatic enhancement of presentations via its Microsoft PowerPoint plugin (add in), creating professional effective designs.

How did you get the idea for your company?

As a VP Business Development, I had to create multiple creative and professional-looking customized PowerPoint presentations. I realized there is no application for the automatic enhancement and creation of presentations and thus, decided to create one myself.

Tell us about your funding history. Are you currently looking for funding? If so, how much?

VisualBee.com has completed a seed-funding thus far and is not currently in the market for additional investors.

How many employees do you have? How many developers?

VisualBee.com includes five employees at the moment, two of which are developers.

Are you hiring? If yes, what are you hiring for and where?

VisualBee.com is not hiring at the moment. However, we are always looking for talent.

Which platform are you building on? Why?

VisualBee.com is currently using the following platform: C#, .NET, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft SQL server 2008 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008. We are using this platform since it is the common platform for developing add-ins to Microsoft applications, such as PowerPoint.

Where do you see opportunities today in the Software/Internet area?

The development of the Internet, especially with respect to increased surfing speeds, combined with the introduction of many web-based communication applications, results in ever-growing number of long-distance meetings and conferences, as well as small home-based businesses, all relying on visual aids, such as PowerPoint presentations, to convey messages. Therefore, the VisualBee presentation enhancement solution is becoming increasingly relevant.

What do you think about the BizSpark Program?

I think BizSpark is a great platform for showcasing new startup ideas and innovative technologies.

Do you have any advice for young Software entrepreneurs?

Don’t guess which product people might need. Trust that if you require such product, there is a market for it.

Who’s your role model?

Shai Agassi, the CEO of Better Place, the Global Provider of EV Networks and Services.

What’s the ONE THING you would like readers to take away from this interview?

Effective presentations help convey your message and are often the difference between landing a deal and leaving empty handed. VisualBee can help you create the effective display you need.
