Well, I pretty much enjoy the exam, although most of the new features is not asking in this Beta exam.

The exam question really smooth, but in term of complexity and question type, there still a lot need to modified before it actual come out for real.

Some of the question do give not clear meaning in sense of need candidate already have perception on what was always we do on daily job basis.

There were very few questions on SQL Server 2008 specific items like the new datatypes. Lots of questions about XML and table datatypes, so in my opinion, this could have been delivered as a SQL Server 2005 exam. This might have just been the luck of the draw for the version of the exam delivered to me (perhaps I got the shallow end of the question pool). Being weak on xpath and xquery, I expect I failed the exam.

Not having taken a beta exam before, I was surprised that there wasn't a general comment section for an overall review. And that there was only 1/2 hour for all review commenting in total. I stuck something similar to the above (with a lot more details that don't belong here) into the comments for one of the questions, not really knowing if it will get sent to someone "in charge."
