Name: Ben Pearce
Job Title: Premier Field Engineer
Age: Twenty Something
In case you're interested here's a little bit about me. I currently work in the Premier Field Engineering team at Microsoft. My role is work with enterprise customers and help them to make their systems more productive and efficient. I analyse a system and advise on any problems, how to bring it inline with best practice, and then give some sort of knowledge transfer to the customer. I've worked at Microsoft since 1999, with just a small career break as a snowboard instructor in Whistler, and a spell as a contractor mercenary at a bank. Before being a Premier Field Engineer, I worked in PSS as a Critical Problem Resolution Engineer.
I tend to specialise in the OS platform, but my key areas of specialisation are Failover Clustering, PowerShell and Virtualisation.
