Recently at Microsoft, we announced the 2012 winners of the Microsoft Next contest which is an opportunity for teams at Microsoft to showcase how they are using technology help partners and customers.  A team in my organization, the Customer Insights Center or CIC, was one of the winners and I am very proud of them and their leader, Ariel Dos Santos!  Congratulations!

The customer insights center is a team in my digital marketing organization that is using cutting-edge tools, techniques, and processes to keep their fingers on the pulse of the market.  Unlike many traditional social media outreach programs which are focused on shaping customer sentiment, we are focused on listening and then taking what we learn from our customers back into Microsoft to improve our products, programs, and services. Additionally, we are using some amazing analytics tools to aggregate and measure sentiment.
