Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor scans your PC's system, programs and devices to check if it's able to run Windows 7. After a few minutes, the report will let you know if your PC meets the system requirements, if there are any known compatibility issues with your programs and devices, and will also provide guidance on your upgrade options to Windows 7.
Download and install Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to your computer. Launch it, and follow the directions. If you are running Windows XP and do not have .NET Framework 2.0 yet, you will be asked to download and install it. After .NET is installed, you can restart the Upgrade Advisor installation.
Beta Release Notes
Unfortunately the same beta quality upgrade advisor has been there for several months even though Vista has RTM'd and plenty of us have both Enterprise and Ultimate in our hands. I had occasion to use the advisor the other day and it failed - said it had an unknown error on the application portion of the check (the only important part of the check for me actually). I tried a few times with the same problem. That said, it did work for my Wife's machine. Just not for mine. Anecdotal for sure, but it would have been nice to have the production version.
Thanks for the feedback Jerry, I will surely check on this witht he teams. Also, if you could send me more about error along with the screenshot, we can try checking any solution for the same.
Try the new Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
